One of the largest municipal parks in Texas, this park is a sanctuary for many forms of wildlife and plants. Located here is Miss Nellie's Pretty Place, a wildflower preserve with an amphitheater overlooking the wildflowers. The park has picnic tables, shelters and fishing in the adjacent Brazos river.

Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, this nonprofit organization tells the
story of Dr. Pepper and the entire soft drink industry with three floors of exhibits. The museum is housed in the 1906 "Home of Dr. Pepper" building that served as the soft drink's headquarters until 1924.

This stately Greek Revival-style home was one of the first of its kind in Central Texas. It was slated for demolition the home but was moved and fully restored in 1970. Today the home is surrounded by five acres of beautiful gardens.

Ollie Mae Moan Discovery Center - children discover how much fun learning can be at the only hands-on museum in Central Texas. They can blow bubbles, pet animals, learn about Waco Indians, try on clothes from around the world, play in an environmental playhouse, discover optical illusions and much more.
Strecker Museum - Self-guided tour through Central Texas' natural and cultural history. This museum features a special exhibit on excavations at the Waco Mammoth site.

The whole family will enjoy exploration stations that provide interactive activities that relate to natural history, archeology, paleontology and geology. Discovery room covers topics from bubbles to butterflies, from transportation to TV news and weather, and pioneers to people of the world.
